Everything we can do with our two machines β no fluff, just capability.

Horizontal & Vertical Precision Milling
Our Grizzly G0827 combines horizontal and vertical spindles in one machine,
letting us handle a wide range of operations without changing setups.
With a 3-axis DRO and 0.0002" resolution, you get repeatability you can count on.
- Flat faces ("flats") on shafts β like the 107" Main Shaft that needs flat surfaces for set screws.
- Keyways and slots on shafts, pulleys and gears.
- Spur and helical gears (with horizontal head and proper tooling).
- T-slots and dovetails for machine tables and guides.
- Base plates and flanges with mounting holes and machined surfaces.
- Slotting and internal grooving with the vertical head.
- Pocketing and cavity milling in blocks and housings.
- Chamfering and beveling of edges for welding.
- Long material cutting with the horizontal spindle (up to 29" longitudinal travel).
Materials: Carbon steel (1045, 1144, 4140), stainless steel (304, 316), aluminum, bronze, brass, and cast iron.

Precision Turning & Shaft Machining
Our Grizzly G0509G 16" x 40" lathe is built for high-precision work.
With a 2.0625" spindle bore we can handle long shafts without vibration,
and its "spider mount" system stabilizes long parts for critical operations.
- Drive shafts and rudder stocks β turning, facing and diameter fitting.
- Bushings and sleeves β made from scratch or reconditioned.
- Cylinder liners β ID grinding and fitting.
- Precision threading β metric, Whitworth, UNF, NPT and special threads.
- Bearing and seal housing boring.
- Flange and faceplate facing β flat surfaces perpendicular to the axis.
- Drilling and reaming on the lathe with proper tool holders.
- Internal and external grooving for retaining rings and seals.
- Tapers and chamfers with the compound rest.
- Polishing and surface finishing for fine tolerances and sealing.
Lathe capacity: 16" swing over bed Β· 10" swing over carriage Β· 40" between centers Β· 2.0625" spindle bore.

Custom Part Manufacturing (One-Off)
Need a part that is no longer made? Have a damaged sample but no drawing?
We work with reverse engineering: we measure the original part,
interpret its specs, and machine it again with the same β or better β dimensions.
- Bolts, studs and special screws.
- Pins, keys and wedges.
- Stepped shafts and drive shafts.
- Pulleys, gears and pinions.
- Flanges, plates and brackets.
- Special tools and tool holders.
- Naval and industrial machinery components.
- Obsolete or discontinued spare parts.
Key advantage: No minimum quantity. We machine from 1 piece up to short runs of 10 to 50 units.

Repair & Reconstruction of Components
Many times you don't need to replace a costly part. We can repair,
rebuild, or recondition it to extend its service life β at a fraction of the cost of new.
- Worn shafts β grinding and fitting to original or oversize dimensions.
- Bearing housings β boring and fitting.
- Damaged threads β repair or re-threading.
- Sealing surfaces β facing and polishing.
- Deformed keyways β milling and fitting.
- Bushings and sleeves β rebuilding or replacement manufacturing.
- Gears with damaged teeth β replacement or repair.
- Cracked or fractured parts β evaluation and possible reconstruction.
Signature service: "You bring the part, we machine it." Bring us the damaged component or raw material, and we return it ready to install.

Special Tools & Fixtures
We manufacture cutting tools, work-holding fixtures, and special accessories
for shops, production lines, and industrial maintenance teams.
- Cutting tools and lathe/mill bits.
- Punches and simple dies for cutting and bending.
- Custom supports and fixtures.
- Special wrenches and tools for machinery.
- Guides and stops for production.
- Tool holders adapted to specific machines.
π
Flat Surface Milling on Large Parts
Thanks to our horizontal head and 29" longitudinal travel, we can mill
flat faces on long shafts and parts that don't fit β or aren't
cost-effective β in other shops.
- Flat face milling on drive shafts (like the Main Shaft case).
- Flattening of base plates and tables.
- Milling of key seats on long shafts.
- Surface preparation for component assembly.

Short-Run Production (5β50 Pieces)
We're not a mass-production shop β and that's a good thing for you.
We handle short runs of 5 to 50 pieces with consistent quality,
thanks to our DRO and machine repeatability.
- Functional prototypes.
- Small batches of spare parts.
- Limited production of components.
- Replacement parts for obsolete machinery.
Note: For larger productions, we evaluate each case and can recommend alternatives or subcontract specific processes.
